In Memory of my son Cortney Jamal Edkline.

October 22, 2016, I lost my only son to Renal Cancer, he was 28 years old.  We found out he was at Stage 4 three weeks prior to his passing. Of course, I was totally in denial. In my heart, I knew he was going to get better and beat it.  Unfortunately, that was not the case. It was a major hit for our family as a whole.  Him & his sister grew up very close to their cousins, so his loss impacted them tremendously.  They hashtag #28Forever on social media to pay homage to him leaving us at the young age of 28 & saying he'll be in our hearts Forever.

He wanted to open a tattoo shop. My daughter, my oldest grand & I decided to start a business in honor of him and no better name for it than, 28FOREVER.  Candles were not our first choice but after one of my closest friends (Lolly) took me to make candles for our boys who are no longer here, the idea came to mind, and I ran with it.

Making candles has become my Zen and helps me feel connected to my son. My spirituality has become stronger since starting 28F Cndl Co. and the crystals that are infused in them are filled with the love that my son and I once shared on this planet. He also left a piece of him here on earth for me, my baby grand Za'Riah Victoria Lynn.  She only knew him for six years of her life, but 28Forever will live on for the remainder of hers.
